Most Popular App in Pakistan.

According to the economic survey of 2022-23, YouTube, owned by Google, has become the most popular app in Pakistan, boasting an impressive user base of over 71 million people. The survey provides insights into the social media and internet landscape of the country, highlighting user preferences and trends.

Pakistan currently has a staggering 19.18 million smartphone users, and among them, YouTube stands out as the preferred platform, capturing the attention of over 70 million individuals. Following closely behind is Facebook with 57.5 million users, and Snack Video, a video-sharing platform, takes the third spot with 18.8 million users.

The survey reveals that Pakistan has a total of 87.3 million internet users. Notably, TikTok remains a significant player in the Pakistani social media scene, boasting a user base of 18.3 million. Instagram, the popular photo-sharing platform, also enjoys a substantial following with 15.6 million users.

LinkedIn, the professional networking platform, has gained traction among professionals in the country, with 7.6 million users. Other platforms like 'BIGO LIVE' and 'Likee' have managed to accumulate 4.2 million users.

Twitter, however, seems to have a relatively smaller user base in Pakistan, with only 3.4 million individuals actively using the platform. Nevertheless, it remains a prominent platform for news dissemination and public discourse.

In terms of messaging apps, WhatsApp has emerged as the preferred choice for communication in Pakistan, surpassing a remarkable 46.2 million users.

Overall, the economic survey highlights the dominance of YouTube in Pakistan's app landscape, along with the popularity of Facebook, Snack Video, TikTok, and Instagram. While Twitter may have a smaller user base, it continues to play a significant role in news and public discussions. WhatsApp remains the top messaging app for communication in the country.
