Saudi Arabia's Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiah, has stated that this year, more than 2 million pilgrims from over 160 countries will have the opportunity to perform the Hajj pilgrimage, with every possible measure taken to provide them with facilities.
Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiah emphasized that after the COVID-19 pandemic, a significant number of pilgrims from around the world are arriving in Saudi Arabia to experience the blessed journey of Hajj. Among them, over 2 million pilgrims from more than 160 countries will have the privilege of performing the Hajj pilgrimage to the holy city of Makkah.
He revealed that more than 32,000 practitioners are serving the pilgrims to ensure the provision of healthcare facilities. Additionally, 24,000 passenger-carrying buses have been provided, and facilities have been set up within an area of 192,000 square meters in the largest tent city in the world.
Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiah stated that over 130,000 trees have been planted to mitigate the intensity of heat in Muzdalifah and Mina. Furthermore, 17 trains will operate across 9 stations to facilitate the arrival and departure of the honorable pilgrims in the holy sites of Mina, Muzdalifah, and Arafat.
Regarding the security of pilgrims from around the world, Saudi Arabia's Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiah, mentioned that thousands of personnel from the Hajj and Umrah forces, as well as the police, will be on duty to ensure the safety and well-being of the pilgrims.
