Hajj 2023: 14 Languages, Multilingual Khutbah Translation

Saudi Arabia's leadership is making significant efforts to spread a message of control and resilience by expanding the live interpretation of the Arafat Day lesson, one of the most important occasions on the Islamic calendar. This year, the initiative has been extended to include 14 different languages, allowing the largest possible audience to benefit from the teachings.

Abdulrahman Al-Sudais, the leader of the Overall Administration for the Undertakings of the Two Heavenly Mosques, emphasized the Kingdom's unwavering support for the development of the Prophet's Mosque and the Grand Mosque's services. This commitment reflects the country's dedication to facilitating spiritual experiences for Muslims around the world.

The live interpretation of the Arafat lesson is entering its fifth year, and it has continually grown in scope. Initially, it assisted one million people during its most memorable year, followed by 11 million in the second year, 50 million in the third, and 100 million in the fourth. The projected reach for 2022 is an astounding 200 million individuals worldwide.

Recognizing the diversity of the global audience, the authorities have approved translations in various languages. Alongside the previously available translations in English, French, Malay, Urdu, Persian, Russian, Chinese, Bengali, Turkish, and Hausa, Spanish, Indian, Swahili, and Tamil have been added to the list this year. This expansion reflects the commitment to ensuring that people from different linguistic backgrounds can understand and connect with the profound teachings of Arafat Day.

By making the Arafat Day lesson accessible to such a wide range of people, Saudi Arabia's leadership is demonstrating its commitment to promoting unity and understanding within the Muslim community and beyond. The emphasis on inclusivity and cultural diversity allows individuals from diverse backgrounds to connect with the core values and principles of Islam.

As the live interpretation of the Arafat Day lesson continues to reach millions across the globe, it serves as a powerful platform for spreading the message of control and resilience. By offering this valuable resource in multiple languages, Saudi Arabia's leadership aims to foster a sense of belonging and empowerment among Muslims worldwide. This initiative not only strengthens the bond among believers but also promotes intercultural dialogue and a greater appreciation for the Islamic faith.
