The eagerly-awaited monsoon rains have left netizens and citizens of Karachi longing for relief from the scorching heat. The spokesperson of the Meteorological Department has announced that the much-anticipated monsoon rains are expected to arrive in Karachi this weekend.
Sardar Sarfraz, the Sindh Chief Meteorologist, highlighted the recent surge in heat intensity in the region. However, he assured the public that moderate rainfall is expected to bring respite from the sweltering conditions from the 7th to the 8th of July. Additionally, some areas are likely to experience heavy rainfall on the 9th of July.
Sardar Sarfraz further mentioned that the monsoon winds will reach Sindh either on the night of the 6th of July or the morning of the 7th of July. As a result, the intense summer temperatures are anticipated to decrease by 1 to 2 degrees Celsius from tomorrow. Moreover, the refreshing sea breeze has already started to sweep through the city, adding to the relief.
