2. Respect for the Mosque:
When the Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) noticed some sputum in the mosque's prayer area, he became visibly upset. However, a kind lady from the Ansar came forward, cleaned it, and applied Khaluq (perfume). The Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) expressed appreciation for her actions. (Sunan Ibn Majah 762)

3. Disapproval of Men Wearing Silk:

4. Consideration in Leading Salah:
A man complained to Prophet Muhammad about someone who led the morning prayer for too long, causing inconvenience. The Prophet (S.A.W) became angry and advised that prayers should be concise, considering the diverse needs of the congregation. (Sahih Muslim 466)

5. Patience with Useless Questions:
The Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) was once asked numerous questions, some of which he disliked. Annoyed, he encouraged the people to ask meaningful questions. Nonetheless, he patiently answered even seemingly trivial queries. (Sahih al-Bukhari 7291)

6. Disapproval of Men Wearing Saffron Clothing:
Prophet Muhammad received a message from Abdullah bin 'Amr while the latter was wearing two safflower-dyed robes. This choice of clothing angered the Prophet, and he commanded Abdullah to remove and discard them. (Sunan an-Nasa'i 5317)

7. Defending Justice Amid Accusations:
When a man accused the Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) of injustice in distribution, the Prophet showed signs of anger. However, he responded with patience, citing the example of Prophet Musa (Moses) who endured worse hardships with patience. (Sahih al-Bukhari 3405)

8. Humility and Fear of Allah:
A man remarked to Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) that Allah had forgiven his past and future sins. In response, the Prophet became angry and clarified that he aimed to be the most fearful of Allah and the closest to His guidance. (Sunan Abi Dawud 2389)

French Woman Hit By Meteorite While Having Coffee On Terrace

In an extraordinary and highly unusual cosmic occurrence, a French woman found herself at the center of a remarkable incident when she was struck by a meteorite while enjoying a peaceful coffee on a terrace with her friend. Newsweek reported that the incident took place on July 6, and though the woman's identity remains undisclosed, the event has captured the world's attention.

As the woman sat engaged in conversation with her friend on the outdoor terrace, an unforeseen and mysterious event unfolded. A pebble-like object struck her in the ribs, leaving her in shock and disbelief. Initially, the loud noise that preceded the impact led them to believe it might have been a piece of cement falling from the roof, commonly used for ridge tiles. However, upon closer inspection, it became evident that this was no ordinary debris.

Seeking answers, the woman consulted a local roofer who identified the rock as a potential meteorite. Doubtful yet intrigued, she sought the opinion of geologist Thierry Rebmann, who astonishingly confirmed the extraterrestrial origin of the mysterious object. The meteorite was found to contain a combination of iron and silicon, a not-so-uncommon composition for meteorites, yet still a rare find in itself.

Dr. Rebmann, in awe of the rarity of this event, explained that discovering a meteorite is uncommon, but for someone to be directly struck by one is astronomically rare. Such incidents are exceptionally few and far between, especially in temperate climate zones like France, where meteorites tend to merge with other elements and are difficult to identify.

Meteorites, often referred to as "space rocks," are celestial bodies that successfully navigate through Earth's atmosphere and impact the ground. NASA estimates that nearly 50 tonnes of meteoritic material fall to Earth daily. However, occurrences of individuals being hit by meteorites remain extremely scarce.

The incident in France finds its place among other remarkable meteorite encounters, including one that pierced through the roof of a family home in New Jersey earlier that year. Though no one was harmed in the latter event, it serves as a testament to the awe-inspiring randomness and power of celestial events.

The French woman's encounter with the meteorite will likely leave scientists and space enthusiasts around the world captivated. As the mysterious object becomes a topic of scientific scrutiny, it stands as a reminder of the infinite wonders and mysteries that lie beyond our atmosphere, waiting to surprise and astonish us.

Massive hike in power tariff approved by federal cabinet, to be implemented from July 1st

On Saturday, the federal cabinet took a momentous decision, granting approval for a substantial increase in the base tariff of electricity. The increase is set to be up to Rs7.50 per unit, a considerable surge compared to the national average tariff determination, which stands at Rs4.96 as set by the power regulator.

Sources revealed that the cabinet's approval was conveyed through a circulation summary, and subsequently, a formal request has been submitted to the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (Nepra). This move comes after the regulator had already raised the tariff in a bid to bolster revenue collection for the power distribution companies (Discos), which were facing financial losses during the current fiscal year.

The significant tariff hike is scheduled to come into effect from July 1, pending Nepra's official notification following a public hearing. While the decision aims to address the financial challenges of the Discos, it is not without its impact on consumers. However, Federal Secretary Energy Rashid Mahmood Langrial reassured that around 55% of electricity consumers would be exempt from the increase.

The decision to raise the electricity tariff has sparked debates and discussions nationwide, as it carries both pros and cons. On one hand, the increase is expected to alleviate the financial strain experienced by the power distribution companies, which could lead to more stable operations and improved services in the long run. On the other hand, consumers, especially those not falling under the exempted 55%, might face a burden of higher electricity bills, potentially impacting their monthly budgets and overall cost of living.

Critics argue that such a substantial tariff hike could potentially lead to inflationary pressures, affecting various sectors of the economy and impacting those already vulnerable to rising living costs. They call for a careful balancing act between the needs of the Discos and the affordability of electricity for the general public, particularly for low-income households.

The government and Nepra will need to navigate these challenges and carefully consider the potential implications before implementing the tariff increase. Striking a balance between the financial viability of the power distribution companies and the welfare of consumers will be crucial in ensuring a sustainable and equitable electricity pricing mechanism.

As the nation awaits the formal notification from Nepra, it is hoped that the public hearing process will allow for the concerns and perspectives of various stakeholders to be heard, leading to a well-considered decision that will serve the best interests of both the energy sector and the people of the country.

WhatsApp Introduces New Channels Feature for Monetization

Meta, the social media giant formerly known as Facebook, is expanding its reach by introducing a new messaging feature called Channels on WhatsApp. This strategic move comes after a successful rollout of similar features on Instagram, aiming to provide more conversational avenues for the platform's massive user base of 2 billion people. With Channels, Meta is experimenting with ways to enhance user engagement while also exploring potential monetization opportunities.

Channels on WhatsApp will be prominently displayed in a dedicated tab called Updates, a departure from Meta's approach on Instagram where channel announcements are communicated via direct messages. However, the focus of WhatsApp's Channels differs from Instagram, as it aims to facilitate channels primarily for use by entities such as NGOs, medical research institutions, and fact-checking bodies, rather than individual creators.

The admin of a WhatsApp Channel has the ability to send various types of content, including text, photos, videos, stickers, and polls. It's important to note that these conversations are one-way, meaning users won't be able to directly reply to these messages. This feature allows organizations to disseminate information efficiently to a large audience without overwhelming admins with countless responses.

WhatsApp provides different options for joining channels, including invite links and a directory that allows users to discover channels related to their hobbies, sports teams, or even local officials. To maintain privacy, admins have control over the discoverability of their channels through specific tools provided by WhatsApp, ensuring that users have control over the channels they engage with.

In his announcement, Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO of Meta, stated, "Today we're announcing WhatsApp Channels—a private way to follow people and organizations that matter to you, right within WhatsApp." Meta has chosen to launch Channels initially in Singapore and Colombia, partnering with reputable organizations such as the Singapore Heart Foundation, Colombia Check, the International Rescue Committee (IRC), the World Health Organization (WHO), FC Barcelona, and Manchester City. The company plans to gradually extend the availability of the Channels feature to more countries in the future.

Meta is actively exploring various possibilities with Channels, including the potential option of removing end-to-end encryption for larger channels to expand their audience reach. Additionally, the company is considering monetization options, such as integrating payment services for businesses within Channels and allowing businesses to promote themselves in the directory. WhatsApp has already introduced in-app payment capabilities in countries like Brazil and Singapore, demonstrating its commitment to enabling financial transactions within the platform.

Channels on WhatsApp complement the existing Communities feature that was launched last year. While Communities cater to clubs, schools, and residential complexes, Channels serve as a platform for organizations and authorities to issue updates, alerts, and relevant information to users. By offering both large-group conversations and smaller community-based interactions, WhatsApp aims to create a comprehensive and versatile communication platform.

In addition to Channels, WhatsApp has recently released a beta version (2.23.15.11) for Android users, which includes exciting new features such as a redesigned archive feature and a wider range of emojis. These updates reflect WhatsApp's ongoing dedication to improving the user experience and ensuring that the platform remains a reliable, private, and efficient communication tool.

With the introduction of Channels and other enhancements, WhatsApp continues to solidify its position as a leading choice for instant messaging and communication worldwide. The platform's commitment to innovation and user satisfaction further establishes WhatsApp as a go-to app for billions of users seeking secure and effective communication solutions.

India's Chandrayaan-3 Moon Mission Launches Successfully

The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has launched the Chandrayaan-3 mission from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota at 2.35 PM IST on Thursday, July 14. This ambitious mission aims to achieve a soft landing on the Moon, which will make India only the fourth country in history to accomplish this feat, following the United States, the Soviet Union, and China.

The Chandrayaan-3 spacecraft, after a successful liftoff from Earth, is currently in orbit around our planet as it begins its journey towards the Moon. The mission is carefully planned and involves several critical events that need to be executed flawlessly. These events include earth-bound manoeuvres to fine-tune the spacecraft's trajectory, insertion into the lunar orbit, separation of the lander, a series of deboost manoeuvres, and a power descent phase for a gentle landing on the lunar surface.

P Veeramuthuvel, the project director of the Chandrayaan-3 spacecraft, has highlighted the significance and complexity of these upcoming milestones. Each event requires precise calculations and meticulous execution to ensure a successful outcome. India's previous lunar mission, Chandrayaan-2, faced an unfortunate setback when the lander, Vikram, experienced a hard landing during its final descent in September 2019. However, the orbiter component of Chandrayaan-2 remains operational and continues to provide valuable scientific data.

The Chandrayaan-3 mission represents India's determination to achieve its lunar exploration goals. By successfully landing on the Moon, India aims to make significant contributions to the understanding of our celestial neighbor's geology, mineralogy, and potential for resources. Additionally, this mission showcases India's technological prowess in space exploration and establishes the country as a key player in the global space community.

The quest for a soft landing on the Moon has historically been a challenging endeavor. Both the United States and the Soviet Union faced numerous failures and setbacks before achieving successful landings. China, on the other hand, accomplished a soft landing in its first attempt with the Chang'e-3 mission in 2013. If ISRO accomplishes a successful landing with Chandrayaan-3, it would be a remarkable achievement for India and a testament to the organization's dedication and expertise.

The Chandrayaan-3 mission is expected to take approximately 42 days to complete its journey to the Moon. Throughout this period, the spacecraft and its instruments will undergo rigorous testing and monitoring to ensure their functionality and readiness for the critical landing phase. The scientific community, space enthusiasts, and the Indian public eagerly await updates on the mission's progress as India ventures closer to joining the exclusive group of nations that have achieved a soft landing on the Moon.

American Researcher Warn: Earth's Rotation at Risk Without the Holy Kaaba

In a research article published in 2020, Professor Lawrence E. Yoseph, an American scholar, put forth a speculative hypothesis suggesting a connection between the rotation of the Earth and the existence of the Holy Ka'aba. The professor claimed that if Muslims were to cease their practices of tawaf (circumambulation) and prayers around the Ka'aba, the Earth's rotation would halt due to the absence of electromagnetic waves emitted by the superconducting properties of the Black Stone.

The professor cited the findings of research conducted by 15 universities, which proposed that the Hajar Aswad (Black Stone) is a meteorite with an exceptionally high metal content, approximately 23,000 times greater than that of existing steel. According to the professor, certain astronauts reported witnessing a brilliant light emanating from the Earth, which subsequent investigations revealed to originate from the Ka'aba or the Temple. The professor postulated that the Hajar Aswad functions as a superconductor akin to a microphone, broadcasting electromagnetic waves over vast distances, potentially reaching thousands of miles.

Unusual Phenomenon: Hair Growth on the Tongue of a Tobacco User

An unusual incident involving tobacco consumption and an antibiotic reaction has recently come to light in the United States. It revolves around an intriguing case where a devoted tobacco user experienced a peculiar transformation of his tongue. While the 64-year-old individual's identity remains undisclosed, it is known that he hails from the state of Ohio.

After commencing a prescribed course of antibiotics known as "Clindamycin" to combat an infection in his gums, an unexpected change began to unfold within a mere two weeks. The man's tongue gradually took on a vibrant shade of green, capturing the attention of medical professionals. Additionally, peculiar hair-like growths emerged on the surface of his tongue, raising further curiosity among experts.

According to specialists, the hair-like protrusions are believed to be keratinized papillae, which are a normal component of the human body. It is hypothesized that the presence of bacteria on the individual's tongue, resulting from prolonged tobacco usage, facilitated the development of these growths. This intriguing occurrence highlights the potential interplay between tobacco consumption, bacterial colonization, and the subsequent physiological responses that may manifest.

WhatsApp has announced the release of another interesting feature

WhatsApp has announced a new privacy feature for its community members. This update, available on iOS and Android, allows users to hide their phone numbers from other members of their community. The feature aims to reach as many users as possible.

The new feature enables users to conceal their phone numbers from other community members on both iOS and Android platforms. It ensures that users have the option to maintain their privacy while engaging with their community. However, they will be limited in using the message reaction feature to communicate with the group, as it would reveal their number to others.

In addition, the list of community participants remains hidden, providing an added layer of privacy. The purpose of this feature is to create a secure environment for community discussions while maintaining control over users' personal information.

If a member of the community reacts to a message, their number will remain hidden. The goal of this feature is to establish a safe space for community conversations by instilling confidence in users regarding their personal information.

WhatsApp continues to prioritize user privacy and security, and the introduction of this privacy feature for community members demonstrates their commitment to creating a more private and secure environment for users to interact within their communities.

ChatGPT Service Loses Millions of Users for the First Time

OpenAI's chatbot, ChatGPT, has recently faced a decline in its momentum following its rapid rise in popularity. Data from internet analytics firm Similarweb reveals that ChatGPT's website traffic experienced a decrease of 9.7% last month, marking the first decline in user engagement. Furthermore, Sensor Tower, an app tracker, observed a decrease in the number of downloads for ChatGPT's iOS client in June. OpenAI has yet to respond to requests for comment on these developments.

This decline in ChatGPT's interest appears to be part of a larger trend within the industry. Similarweb's data also indicates a decrease in traffic to the desktop and mobile websites of Microsoft Bing, Google Bard, and Character.AI in recent months. Microsoft witnessed a surge in traffic to its search engine when it made the Bing AI public preview available to the public between February and March. However, the monthly traffic has steadily declined since then.

Similarweb also reports a decrease in ChatGPT engagement since May 2023, with users spending 8.5% fewer minutes interacting with the chatbot. The Washington Post suggests that the end of the school year may be one contributing factor to this decline. With college students on summer break, fewer young adults may be utilizing ChatGPT for academic purposes, such as writing papers.

Another possible reason for the decline could be restrictions imposed by certain companies, like Samsung, on the use of AI chatbots by their employees. These restrictions aim to protect against data breaches and may have resulted in decreased usage of ChatGPT.

However, it is unlikely that OpenAI is in a state of panic due to this decline. In fact, they may view the decrease in usage as a positive outcome. OpenAI CEO Sam Altman has previously mentioned the significant costs associated with running the service.

It is important to note that while ChatGPT's popularity may be declining, it remains a powerful tool for various applications. The chatbot has been widely used for tasks such as generating content, answering questions, and providing assistance. Its natural language processing capabilities have made it a valuable resource for many users.

In conclusion, OpenAI's chatbot, ChatGPT, is currently experiencing a decline in momentum after its initial surge in popularity. Factors such as the end of the school year and restrictions imposed by certain companies may have contributed to this decline. Nevertheless, OpenAI may view this as a positive outcome considering the costs associated with running the service. ChatGPT continues to offer powerful natural language processing capabilities and remains a valuable tool for various applications.

Another Reason to Hate Monday: New Study Suggests Fatal Heart Attacks are more Common on Mondays

A recent study conducted by doctors at the Belfast Health and Social Care Trust and the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland has shed light on a fascinating phenomenon known as "Blue Monday." This phenomenon refers to a spike in the occurrence of the most serious type of heart attack, called ST-elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI), at the beginning of the workweek, with the highest rates observed on Mondays. Surprisingly, the study also revealed higher-than-expected rates of STEMI on Sundays.

The researchers analyzed data from 10,528 patients admitted to hospitals across the island of Ireland between 2013 and 2018, all of whom had experienced a STEMI heart attack. Their findings support previous studies that have suggested a correlation between heart attacks and the body's circadian rhythm, which regulates the sleep and wake cycle. However, the exact mechanisms behind the "Blue Monday" phenomenon remain elusive.

While the association between heart attacks and the start of the workweek may seem perplexing, it is essential to consider the potential contributing factors. One possibility is the increased stress levels experienced on Mondays, as individuals face the demands and pressures of returning to work after the weekend. Stress is a known risk factor for heart disease, and its impact on the cardiovascular system could explain the higher occurrence of heart attacks during this time.

Another factor that may contribute to the "Blue Monday" phenomenon is the disruption of sleep patterns over the weekend. Many people tend to alter their sleep schedules during weekends, staying up late and sleeping in. Such changes can disturb the body's internal clock, leading to an increased risk of adverse cardiovascular events when individuals return to their regular sleep routine on Sunday night.

Although further research is needed to fully comprehend the underlying causes, the findings from this study provide valuable insights into the occurrence of heart attacks and highlight the importance of managing stress and maintaining consistent sleep patterns. By understanding these factors, healthcare professionals can potentially develop targeted interventions to reduce the risk of heart attacks during the early part of the workweek, ultimately improving patient outcomes and public health.

AI glasses empower humans with the superpower to detect lies

According to a tech expert, future artificial intelligence-powered glasses could provide humans with extraordinary abilities by allowing them to perceive hidden information. In an interview with the Daily Mail, the expert, Liddell, explained that computer vision systems integrated into these glasses would be capable of detecting subtle cues and emotional nuances that are imperceptible to the naked eye. Liddell firmly believes that the combination of augmented reality and AI will revolutionize human interactions and reshape the social landscape.

Liddell envisions a future where individuals wearing these AI glasses will have access to a wealth of physiological and psychological data about others. The glasses would enable users to discern if someone is being dishonest or genuinely interested in them. By analyzing visual cues, facial expressions, and other subtle signals, the AI-powered glasses would provide users with real-time insights into people's intentions and emotions.

If this technology becomes a reality, it could potentially have significant implications for interpersonal relationships, business negotiations, and various social scenarios. The ability to discern when someone is lying or genuinely attracted to you could enhance communication, promote trust, and improve overall understanding between individuals. However, it is essential to consider the ethical and privacy implications of such technology, as it raises concerns about surveillance, consent, and the invasion of personal boundaries.

In conclusion, Liddell's vision of AI-powered glasses with the capability to provide users with extraordinary perceptual abilities holds the potential to transform human interactions and empower individuals with unprecedented insights into the thoughts and emotions of others. Nonetheless, the development and deployment of such technology would require careful consideration of ethical and privacy considerations.

Where do the millions of stones disperse to after the Jamarat ritual?

During the Hajj pilgrimage, an integral part of the ritual involves throwing pebbles at the Jamarat, a series of pillars representing Satan. This act symbolizes the rejection of evil and temptation. With millions of pilgrims participating in this ceremony, it raises the question of what happens to the vast number of pebbles once the ritual is complete.

The Saudi government has implemented an intricate and meticulous system to handle the millions of pebbles in the cleanest and most efficient manner. After the pilgrims complete the stoning ritual, the pebbles cascade vertically downwards from the three pillars located on all four levels of the Jamarat facility. They descend to a basement area, which is specifically designed to collect and manage the stones.

To ensure cleanliness, multiple conveyor belts are strategically positioned to collect the pebbles as they fall. As the pebbles move along the conveyor belts, they are sprayed with water to remove any dirt or impurities. This cleansing process ensures that the pebbles are in a pristine state for further handling.

Once cleaned, the pebbles are transported by vehicles to designated storage areas. These areas are specifically allocated for the purpose of managing the large quantities of pebbles used in the stoning ritual. The Saudi government, in collaboration with organizations such as the Makkah-based Hajj & Mu’tamer Gift Charitable Association and Kedana Company, have provided thousands of bags of pebbles to facilitate the ritual in previous years.

The storage facilities are carefully managed to ensure proper organization and easy retrieval when needed for subsequent Hajj seasons. The pebbles are sorted and stored based on their size and quality. This meticulous arrangement allows for efficient handling and distribution of the stones for future use.

The process of managing millions of pebbles is a testament to the attention to detail and planning involved in organizing the Hajj pilgrimage. The Saudi government's commitment to preserving the cleanliness and sanctity of the ritual is reflected in the careful handling and storage of the pebbles. By implementing a comprehensive system that includes collection, cleaning, and storage, the authorities ensure that the pebbles are treated with the respect they deserve as an important element of the Hajj ceremony.

In conclusion, the millions of pebbles thrown during the stoning ritual at the Jamarat are carefully collected, cleaned, and stored using a sophisticated system. The Saudi government's meticulous planning and collaboration with charitable organizations and companies contribute to the smooth handling and preservation of the pebbles for future use. This arrangement demonstrates the dedication to maintaining the sanctity of the Hajj pilgrimage and its rituals.

Is Twitter's era ending? A new app is set to launch as an alternative

Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp, the conglomerate companies that oversee these popular social media platforms, have recently made an intriguing announcement. They are set to launch a new app called "Threads" on July 6th, which has been designed in a manner reminiscent of Twitter. According to reports from various international media outlets, Threads bears a striking resemblance to Twitter and will collaborate with Instagram through integrated links. The app will enable users to engage in text-based conversations, akin to tweets, and contains crucial elements in the background that enhance its functionality.

In a contrasting move, Twitter has implemented a mandatory requirement for users to possess a verified account in order to publish tweets. This change has had noticeable effects within the Twitter community. Speculation suggests that this alteration aims to draw attention to Twitter subscriptions, with particular emphasis on capturing the interest of Elon Musk's vast following.

Experts speculate that Meta's forthcoming "Threads" app will be entirely free, unburdened by any limitations on posts or language usage. Users can expect an unrestricted and unrestricted platform for expressing their thoughts and engaging in conversations.

Undoubtedly, Twitter's established app has experienced a significant blow due to Elon Musk's actions. Several prominent figures had already migrated to alternative apps, distancing themselves from Twitter. Another noteworthy factor contributing to this shift is the ongoing rivalry between Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg, which has escalated to new heights. Their clash, taking place on multiple levels, has further fueled the desire for an alternative social media experience.

As the launch of "Threads" approaches, users eagerly await the introduction of this new app. It remains to be seen how it will fare against the existing social media giants and whether it will successfully carve out its own unique space in the digital landscape.

Israeli Forces Launch Largest Military Assault on Jenin (Palestine) in 20 Years

On Monday, Israeli forces launched a significant operation in the city of Jenin in the West Bank, utilizing drone strikes. This marked one of the largest military operations in the region in the past two decades. The strikes resulted in the death of at least eight Palestinians, and the conflict escalated with intermittent gun battles that persisted into the evening. Throughout the day, the city resonated with the sounds of gunfire and explosions as clashes between Israeli troops and militants from the Jenin Brigades, a group comprising various militant factions in the densely populated refugee camp, raged on.

The situation in the refugee camp was described as a genuine war zone by Khaled Alahmad, an ambulance driver serving Palestinians in the area. He reported that the camp had become a target for aerial attacks, leading to a continuous influx of injured individuals. Alahmad further stated that each time the ambulances ventured into the camp, they returned full of casualties.

The Israeli operation in Jenin reflects a significant escalation of tensions in the region. The clashes between Israeli forces and militant groups have intensified, resulting in a high number of casualties. Such violent confrontations not only endanger the lives of Palestinians residing in the area but also exacerbate the already fragile humanitarian situation in the region.

The ongoing conflict underscores the urgent need for dialogue and peaceful negotiations to address the root causes of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. The international community must renew efforts to foster meaningful dialogue between the parties involved and work towards a comprehensive and lasting solution. Only through diplomacy and peaceful means can the cycle of violence and suffering be broken, and a path towards coexistence and stability be forged.

Beauty Parlors Across The Country Ordered to Shutdown

Afghanistan's Taliban authorities have issued a directive ordering all beauty parlours in the country to close down within a month, further restricting women's presence in public life. Since assuming power in August 2021, the Taliban government has implemented a series of oppressive measures against women, including banning them from high schools and universities, prohibiting their participation in recreational activities such as visiting parks and gyms, and enforcing strict dress codes.

The Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice, represented by spokesperson Mohammad Sadeq Akif Muhajir, did not provide a specific reason for the closure order but mentioned that the motive would be shared with the media after the parlours are shut down. The ministry has granted the establishments time to settle their affairs and use up their existing stock to minimize financial losses.

According to a copy of the order obtained by AFP, the decision was "based on verbal instruction from the supreme leader." Over the past two decades of US-led occupation, beauty parlours proliferated in Kabul and other Afghan cities, offering women a safe space to gather, socialize, and pursue business opportunities.

A report presented to the UN's Human Rights Council by Richard Bennett, the special rapporteur for Afghanistan, underscored the dire circumstances faced by women and girls in the country. Bennett described the situation as one of the worst in the world, characterized by grave, systematic, and institutionalized discrimination, leading to concerns of gender apartheid. Nada Al-Nashif, the UN Deputy High Commissioner for Human Rights, emphasized that women's and girls' lives in Afghanistan had been extensively restricted, with discrimination pervading every aspect.

Supreme Leader Hibatullah Akhundzada, who predominantly governs from Kandahar and rarely appears in public, asserted that the adoption of Islamic governance was rescuing women from traditional oppressions and restoring their status as free and dignified individuals. In a statement commemorating the Eid al-Adha holiday, Akhundzada claimed that measures had been taken to ensure women a comfortable and prosperous life in accordance with Islamic Sharia.

The closure of beauty parlours adds to the long list of restrictions imposed on Afghan women by the Taliban, leaving them increasingly marginalized and isolated from public life. These measures not only deny women their basic rights but also undermine their contributions to society and hinder their economic independence. The international community continues to express deep concern over the deteriorating situation and the widespread violation of women's rights in Afghanistan.

Karachi's First Plastic-Infused Road Sets New Standards for Sustainability

In a collaborative effort between DMC South, Shell Pakistan, and startup BRR Enterprise, an innovative road constructed using plastic has been unveiled in Karachi. This project aims to tackle the issue of plastic waste while promoting environmentally friendly practices in the city.

Through the utilization of the dry process method, over 2.5 tonnes of discarded Shell lubricant bottles were recycled to build a remarkable 730 feet long and 60 feet wide road near Shell House in Karachi. By incorporating these plastic bottles into the asphalt road, Shell Pakistan aims to reduce plastic waste and contribute to sustainable infrastructure development.

Plastic waste poses a significant environmental concern due to its non-biodegradable nature and harmful effects. Research suggests that plastic bags can take up to 500 years to decompose, while plastic bottles may require around 300 years. By harnessing discarded plastic bottles in road construction, Shell Pakistan takes a proactive step towards addressing this pressing environmental challenge.

Plastic-infused roads offer several advantages over conventional roads, including enhanced flexibility, durability, and a lifespan nearly three times longer. Furthermore, the use of plastic substantially reduces construction costs as plastic materials are readily available and cost-effective when compared to traditional construction materials. This innovative approach not only contributes to sustainable infrastructure but also addresses the social issue of plastic waste.

During the inauguration of the newly constructed road, Waqar Siddiqui, the Chief Executive and Managing Director of Shell Pakistan Limited, expressed his enthusiasm for the project's success. He emphasized the significance of using discarded lubricant bottles to create a road, highlighting its potential to reduce plastic waste and provide an environmentally friendly option for future infrastructure projects in Pakistan.

The successful implementation of this plastic-infused road serves as a testament to the power of collaboration and innovation in addressing pressing environmental concerns. It sets a positive example for other regions and industries to follow, encouraging them to explore sustainable alternatives and reduce their ecological footprint.

The road construction project in Karachi demonstrates that creative solutions can be found to mitigate the detrimental impact of plastic waste on the environment. By leveraging discarded plastic bottles in infrastructure development, Shell Pakistan, along with its partners, showcases a forward-thinking approach that combines environmental consciousness with sustainable progress.

The case was presented before a magistrate in Kampala, Uganda, with Baitwababo claiming that his removal was unjust and demanding accountability for the funds collected since the group's formation in 2017.

The WhatsApp group, known as "Buyanja My Roots," was originally established with the noble intention of facilitating contributions to charitable causes, offering condolences, and providing support to individuals. Baitwababo emphasized that the group had a specific focus on assisting people within the Buyanja sub-county, located in the Rukungiri district. Its primary objective was to extend help and support to individuals residing in that particular area, ensuring their welfare and well-being.

According to Baitwababo, on May 16, 2023, he sent a letter to the group's administrator, Allan Asinguza, requesting an audit report and accountability for the funds collected from registered members since the group's inception. Baitwababo believed it was vital to assess the financial situation of the group and ensure that the contributions were being used effectively for their intended purpose.

Feeling unfairly treated and removed from the group without any prior explanation or the opportunity to address his concerns, Baitwababo decided to pursue legal action. By filing the lawsuit, he aims to hold the group's administrator accountable and shed light on the alleged mishandling of funds.

The case has now reached the attention of a magistrate in Kampala, where it will be thoroughly examined. Both Baitwababo and Asinguza will have the opportunity to present their arguments and evidence to support their respective positions.

The court will likely consider the group's original purpose, the role of the administrator, and any evidence provided by Baitwababo regarding the alleged financial mismanagement. The decision of the court will be based on the applicable laws and regulations, as well as the specific circumstances surrounding the case.

The outcome of this lawsuit could have wider implications for the responsibilities of administrators and members of WhatsApp groups in Uganda. It may provide clarity on issues such as transparency, accountability, and the management of funds within such groups. The case serves as a reminder of the importance of maintaining integrity and adhering to the group's original objectives to foster trust and ensure the effective utilization of resources for charitable causes.

In conclusion, Herbert Baitwababo's legal action against the administrator of the "Buyanja My Roots" WhatsApp group highlights his desire for transparency and accountability in the group's financial matters. The case will now be deliberated by a magistrate, and the ruling will have implications for similar groups in Uganda, emphasizing the significance of responsible administration and proper utilization of funds.

Mobile Phone Charging: Common Issues, Methods, and Solutions

One of the most common issues faced by mobile phone users is related to charging their devices. Sometimes, despite connecting the charger, users experience significant delays in the charging process. This problem can be frustrating when the phone doesn't charge even within the specified time. This article, based on the expertise shared by specialists in the "Sayyidati" magazine, highlights some important points to overcome this problem.

Delay in Mobile Phone Charging:
According to the Android Authority website, if you feel that your mobile phone takes a long time to charge, there could be various reasons for this. It is possible that your charging cable is damaged, which causes delays in charging. There can be multiple causes for cable damage, such as wrapping the cable incorrectly, leading to its deterioration.

Charger:
Although the mobile phone charger, being the central unit, does not easily get damaged, it can still be a reason for delayed battery charging. In case the charger is damaged, it gets unusually hot shortly after plugging it into the power socket, indicating that it needs to be replaced.

Mobile Phone Charging Port:
If the charging port of your phone is damaged, it can also cause delays in charging. The current flowing through the port may not supply the cable with the required amperage. Insufficient amperage supply leads to slower charging of the phone battery. In such cases, it is advisable to replace the charging port.

Current Path (Switch):
In some cases, the power socket in which the charger is plugged may not be suitable, causing improper current flow in the charger. Insufficient current flow prevents the charger from functioning properly.

If the socket is loose, the charger may repeatedly disconnect, causing interruptions during charging. Furthermore, if the voltage of the current is not appropriate, the charger may become excessively hot, leading to charging issues.

Applications Causing Obstruction in Charging:
Some applications can limit the battery life of mobile phones. Therefore, it is better to close these applications during charging. Apps that heavily impact the battery should be disabled during charging to ensure smooth charging process.

Mobile Phone Usage During Charging:
Continuous usage of the mobile phone while it is connected to the charger results in higher battery consumption. In such cases, it is recommended to refrain from using the phone while it is being charged. This allows the battery to charge completely without any delays.

Battery Life Has Expired:
Regardless of whether it is a mobile phone or a car battery, there is a limit to how many times it can be charged. Eventually, the battery's rechargeable capacity diminishes. When the battery's capacity is fully depleted, it needs to be replaced.
